Round table discussion at Fire Station Museum

Tasweer 2023 came to an end last Saturday after 65 days of groundbreaking exhibitions and an active live program. This coming Thursday, we are organizing a roundtable discussion to respond to an urgent need about photographers' legal frameworks and regulations, especially concerning intellectual property, in Qatar. We have invited legal representatives from Qatar Museums and the Creativity Clinic to come together with the Tasweer team and reflect on questions that have been raised in the last week's roundtable conversations. We value your contribution and would appreciate registering via the form and submitting your legal clarification questions before the meeting. To ensure the legal team can prepare responses, please submit your questions by the end of Tuesday.

Please come to room Studio 101 of the Fire Station Museum for the 6pm start of this roundtable discussion. This 90-minute conversation will be chaired by Tasweer’s Head of Exhibitions and Project Management, Sinem Yoruk. We will be making an audio recording for Tasweer’s archive and not for public distribution or publication. Later in the summer we will email you a summary of the main points that were discussed in this – and the other – roundtable conversations taking place during the closing events of Tasweer 2023. Everyone is welcome to join us and participate in these unique events. Refreshments will be provided. Parking is free and available at Doha Fire Station, with no other event on the same date and time.
