About Tasweer Dialogues' Third Masterclass Coach Cosar Kulaksiz

Cosar was born in 1975 in Ankara, Turkey.  He graduated from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in 1997, majoring in economics.  In 2005 he completed his master’s degree at Marmara University Fine Art Faculty with the thesis “The Contemporary Photography Schools and Movements in Europe”. He finished his post-graduate education in 2010 at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts Photography Department on his thesis “The Transformation that the Technology Causes Over the Photographic Art”.

He opened four personal photography exhibitions. 2010 - “Istanbul Infrared”, 2016 – “Fragmental Problematique – A Journey into the Soul through Vision”, 2020 – “It is Just a Game of Missing What We Have Forgotten and Moving Away from What We Remember”, 2022 – “Uncanny Sea” and 2023 - “In Between”. All of his exhibitions have explored the technical and abstract boundaries of photographic art.

Currently he is working on his academic book “Photography as a Consumable Art Form”. In 2017 he was appointed as a guest curator at DIPE, in China which is one the of the biggest Photography Biennials in the world. He has been accepted as a member of AICA, International Association of Art Critics, in 2018.

About the Masterclass:

In this masterclass, participants will explore the art and business of printing and selling their photographs. Experts will discuss various printing techniques, materials, and finishing options to ensure high-quality results. The session will also cover strategies for pricing, marketing, and selling photographic prints, equipping photographers with the knowledge to turn their work into a successful business venture and connect with potential buyers.

Edition system; Gallery system; Auction system; Second hand market; Printing techniques to turn the image into an artwork; Presentation styles and preferred styles by collectors; Fine Art Printing vs Cprint; Succesful portfolio preparation.
